The short version. DAWN's morning ritual is free and stays free. DAWN Plus is an optional subscription — or a one-off lifetime purchase — that unlocks the sleep comparison, your full history and trends. A subscription renews until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings. DAWN is a wellness tool, not a medical device.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the DAWN app. By downloading or using DAWN you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
2. What DAWN is — and is not
DAWN calculates local sunrise and sunset, times an outdoor session, records what you log, and displays an estimated sky. It supports a general wellness routine.
DAWN is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it does not measure your circadian phase, hormones or any biological light dose. Nothing in the app is medical advice. If you have a sleep, mood or eye condition, consult a qualified clinician.
Never look directly at the sun, with or without this app. Face the sky instead. You are responsible for your own safety outdoors, including your surroundings, traffic, weather and sun exposure.
3. DAWN Plus subscription
- DAWN Plus is an auto-renewing subscription offered as a monthly or yearly plan.
- The exact price and billing period are shown in the app before you confirm, in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings → your name → Subscriptions at any time. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
4. Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly.
5. Shared photos
If you choose to share a photo to "Today's skies", you confirm that it is yours to share and that it contains nothing unlawful, sexual, hateful, violent or otherwise objectionable, and no identifiable person who has not agreed to appear. Shared photos are anonymous, visible to other users for that day, and deleted automatically afterwards.
We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content. Any photo can be reported from inside the app; reported content is hidden immediately for the reporter and removed for everyone once reported twice. We may remove content and block a device from sharing at our discretion, without notice.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or abuse the app or its services, and do not use DAWN in any unlawful way.
7. Availability and changes
DAWN is provided "as is". Solar times, weather and sky positions are estimates and may be inaccurate. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, including parts of DAWN Plus; if we materially reduce what an active subscription provides, you may cancel it as described above.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of DAWN. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
